Good Time to Catch the Tax Benefits

of Donating to ISKCON

2016 is quickly coming to a close. But there’s still time to make a tax deductible financial contribution to ISKCON Alachua. As our temple continues to grow and develop, we have many plans for the years ahead. Giving in charity is good for the soul and gives much benefit to the giver. As Srila Prabhupada writes in Krishna Book (chapter 81), “What a devotee actually offers to the Lord is not needed by the Lord. He is self-sufficient. If the devotee offers something to the Lord, it acts for his own interest because whatever a devotee offers to the Lord comes back in a quantity a million times greater than what was offered. One does not become a loser by giving to the Lord, but he becomes a gainer by millions of times.” Here are some suggestions of current projects for your consideration:

The Temple has been operating with one men’s and one women’s toilet since its construction, and it’s become a dire problem with our large congregation and even bigger Sunday and festivals crowds.

Well, it’s happened, six years in to the presence of Their beautiful Lords here, and we need more space for all the outfits, backdrops and paraphernalia. We will place a 10′ x 20′ shed beside Sri Sri Gaura Nitai’s shed, connect it to the walk way, put on a little roof overhang , and retrofit it to be suitable to our needs, including insulation, heating/cooling, and flooring.

We need more facility for more souls to take shelter at New Raman Reti and get the advantages of our wonderful spiritual program and sublime atmosphere. We are just a few weeks away from Development Review approval for the first set of 13 guest cottages. Let’s make this happen in 2017. 1, 650 sq. ft., 2B/1B cottage with living room and eating area and front porch.
